Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) was developed to be a toolkit that dramatically cuts the effort, cost, and risk of migrating from Sybase ASE to SQL Server. SSMA for Sybase provides an assessment of migration efforts as well as automates schema and data migration.
SSMA for Sybase lets you quickly convert Sybase database schemas to SQL Server schemas, upload the resulting schemas into SQL Server, and migrate data from Sybase to SQL Server. The Extension Pack emulates some of the Sybase functionality.
SSMA for Sybase supports migration from Sybase ASE version 11.9 and higher to any edition of SQL Server.
